Distinguished Members of Hiram Lodge No. 103Many of our members have been chosen to serve in various capacities in The Grand Lodge of Maryland where they have brought honor to themselves, and to Hiram Lodge No. 103. Hiram Lodge's most distinguished member is, undoubtedly, Past Grand Master A. Wayne Reed. He served three terms as Worshipful Master of Hiram Lodge No. 103 (1928-1930), was appointed Deputy Grand Inspector (1931-1944) and Deputy Grand Lecturer (1935-1950). He was elected by the Grand Lodge of Maryland to serve as Senior Grand Warden (1939), Deputy Grand Master (1956-1957), and in 1958 was elected Most Worshipful Grand Master of Masons in Maryland, and served with distinction the Masons of the State of Maryland for two terms.
A. Wayne Reed Memorial Bench
In commemoration of A. Wayne Reed's accomplishments, contributions, and dedication to Freemasonry, the members of Hiram Lodge No. 103 A.F.& A.M. commissioned a memorial bench which was built by Tri-State Memorial Co. in Piedmont, WV. This bench is placed in the Masonic Garden of Sunset Memorial Park, the final resting place of Brother Reed. A dedication and memorial ceremony will take place on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the cemetery. |
